Monday 05/10/20 Low pressure remains over the UK and Ireland on Monday centred over northern England and southern Scotland. Bands of rain affect eastern Scotland, northern Ireland, Wales and southwestern parts of England. A mix of sunshine and showers elsewhere, some of which could be locally heavy and thundery. High temperatures at 11 to 15C.
Tuesday 06/10/20 Pressure stays low across the British Isles into Tuesday with a mixture of sunny spells and showers again. Showers could merge to give longer spells of rain over northern Scotland, Northern Ireland and the north of England as well as over southern parts of England at times. Some good spells of sunshine will develop between showers elsewhere. Highs at 11 to 16C.
Wednesday 07/10/20 A westerly flow developing through Wednesday as low pressure moves to the northwest. This is likely to be bringing a brighter day for many eastern areas but showery outbreaks of rain affect the west. These could be locally heavy over northwestern parts of Ireland, England and Wales. Maximum temperatures at 11 to 15C. Thursday 08/10/20 Confidence is low but we could see low pressure move back over southern parts of the UK on Thursday bringing outbreaks of rain to parts of England, Wales and Ireland. Drier for Scotland and Northern Ireland but with frequent showers over coastal regions. High temperatures at 10 to 14C. Friday 09/10/20 Confidence remains low into Friday. A northwesterly flow may develop over the region bringing a brighter and dry day to the country. A few showers affect northwest-facing coasts and hills. Feeling cool with highs at 9 to 15C. Saturday 10/10/20 Again confidence is low but a northwest to northerly flow may persist into Saturday bring cool conditions to the region. Showers affect north-facing coasts and hills. These may be locally heavy for a time. Highs of 10 to 14C.
