Morning Call: A colder day - Hill snow in north Apr 22 - 05:44

More cloud than recently, breezy in the south, mostly dry Good morning, You are going to need your jumper and coast today as it will be much cooler than it has been recently. Cloud and some rain affecting the southern half of England and Wales as well as Ireland. Most of the rain falling in the southwest if England and southwest Ireland, but some spots reaching the Midlands and parts of East Anglia this afternoon.

Showers in the far north of Scotland will be spreading south this afternoon, mostly affecting northern and eastern areas and tending to be fairly well isolated. Most other parts of Scotland staying dry with sunny spells. It is likely to be dry with further spells of sunshine for northern England and Ireland too.

Tonight brings a frost through parts of central and northern England, Wales and Ireland as well as southern Scotland. Further showers in northern and east Scotland, these turning to snow on the hills.
