Thursday 01/09/16 High pressure across southern Britain brings a dry and warm day to many places. Plenty of sunshine, best in the south & east. High cloud may thicken in the north-west as fronts approach from the Atlantic. Risk of rain later for Northern Ireland & far west of Scotland. Light winds and coastal sea breezes. A freshening southerly breeze in the west. Highs 16 to 19C north & west, 20 to 23C south & east.
Friday 02/09/16 Fronts spreading from the west bring a threat of rain to the north & west of Britain, followed by showers across Ireland. Fair weather may hold on in the south-east of England, but most places can expect thickening cloud. Breezy in the north, lighter winds south. Highs 15 to 18C north-west, 19 to 22C central areas, up to 24 or 25C in the south-east, feeling humid.
Saturday 03/09/16 Showery conditions may become more widespread. Rain most frequent in the north-west, whilst central & south-eastern regions may escape largely dry. A west or south-westerly breeze. Occasional sun. Highs 17 to 22C, perhaps warmer in the south-east.
