Morning Call: Showers west & south - Brighter to north, Dec 19 - 04:44

Showers for many, most in the west and southeast, sunny spells elsewhere and dry Good morning, You will be needing your brolly in southern and southeastern England this morning. East Anglia may be wet too. It's drier and brighter further north and east, although it isn;t overly cold for the time of year.

There will be showers running into the western coasts of Wales, England and Scotland during this morning, these turning more persistent as the morning progresses. This sets us up for a showery afternoon over western and southern coasts of the UK, as well as western areas of the Republic of Ireland. It could be windy over Ireland too.

Breezy with further frequent showers over western parts of Wales, England and Scotland tonight, staying drier in the east. Heavy showers or longer spells of rain in western Ireland too.
