Morning Call: Sunny spells - Mostly dry, Apr 18 - 05:44

Early mist and fog patches should lift to give a fair day with some good sunny spells. There is a chance of showers flaring up over northwestern England and the southwest of Scotland through the afternoon but otherwise it should stay dry. Good morning, Today will start dry but rather overcast with some mist or fog patches for some. These should lift and clear quickly as temperatures rise however. Skies should clear too over western parts of Ireland, eastern parts of England and the north of Scotland to give some good sunny spells.

Through the afternoon there is a chance of showers flaring up over the Midlands, northwest England and southwest Scotland but these should be quite brief in nature. The best of the sunshine will continue to be reserved for eastern parts of England and western Ireland though some good sunny spells could develop almost anywhere as the cloud lifts through the afternoon. High temperatures are expected to widely reach 16 to 19C away from eastern coasts where just 13 or 14C is likely.

Showers should ease into the evening leaving a dry and fair end to the day for most. The best chance of clear skies will be in the west of Ireland and east of England.

Have a good day! Claire
