Low pressure brings another day of wet and windy conditions to northern and western parts of the British Isles on Monday. As the low moves east through the afternoon, rain, showers and winds will tend to fade and ease though light rain could persist through the evening for some western areas. Feeling cool with temperatures widely in the teens across the country. Best of any sunshine will be over eastern parts of the UK. Good Morning,
It's a wet and windy start to the week for many this morning as low pressure to the north keeps conditions rather unsettled. Outbreaks of rain and, locally heavy, showers affect much of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Ireland and the north of England through this morning while gales may affect western coastal regions. A drier but cloudy start for central and southern parts of England.
Rain and showers will tend to ease through the afternoon though could be rather more persistent for western parts of Scotland and northwestern parts of England. Spells of sunshine develop over eastern parts of England and Scotland. Winds start to ease too though it may stay quite gusty over higher ground in the north of England. A cool feel to the day with temperatures largely in the teens (Celsius) across the country.
Not a great deal of change into Monday evening with light rain persisting for some western areas but mostly dry elsewhere. The best of any late sunshine over eastern regions of England and Scotland.
Have a good day!
Claire
