Morning Call: Rain then showers - Warm and muggy, Jul 25 - 05:44

Muggy and wet, particularly across England. Rain clearing to sun and showers, possibly thundery. Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Saturday will allow fronts and spells of rain to pass eastwards through the morning. Rain should clear most areas in the morning, with exception to southern England where it looks to persist. Sunny spells but also showers are to develop behind. This afternoon will see that rain persist over parts of southern England. Sunny spells and showers developing behind, some of these heavy again and possibly thundery. It should brighten up across the southwest of England, parts of Wales and Ireland but with scattered showers too. Sunny spells and scattered showers across Scotland, these showers mainly in the north and east. Showers look to continue through the first half of the night and potentially slow to clear over eastern parts of the UK, before turning largely dry through the early hours as a ridge of high pressure builds. However, cloudier skies will develop across western parts of the UK and Ireland bringing some possible light rain and drizzle.
