Morning Call: Showers - Sunny spells, Jul 26 - 05:44

A mixture of showers and sunny spells for most areas today though northwestern areas could see more persistent rain and the odd rumble of thunder. Good Morning,

Low pressure stays in control of conditions over the UK and Ireland into Sunday. Through the morning showers and outbreaks of rain affect northern and western areas spreading to some eastern areas by lunchtime. Northwestern parts of Scotland will likely see the heaviest rain with the odd rumble of thunder possible here too.

Showers continue into Sunday afternoon but generally become more scattered and lighter. Many areas staying dry through the afternoon especially over Ireland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales. Still feeling fresh with highs of just 14C in northwest Scotland and 22C in eastern England.

Showers tend to ease over much of the UK into Sunday evening though light drizzle may persist over western Scotland and northwestern England. Meanwhile another area of low pressure brings outbreaks of rain into southwestern Ireland that spread across Ireland and into southwestern parts of the UK through the evening.

Have a good day!

Claire
