Thursday A change underway today as a front passes southeast through the UK and Ireland bringing cloud and rain for all. The band of rain lying through Scotland and Ireland this morning, a few heavier bursts on western coasts and hills. Drier in more eastern parts of Wales and England with some bright or sunny spells. This afternoon sees the rain band affecting northern England, Wales and southwest England at first, then spreading through the Midlands and into southern England as the afternoon progresses. Drier weather follows into Scotland, northwest England and Ireland with a few sunny spells developing. Showers affecting the west. Highs at 9 to 13C.
Thursday Night The front brings coud and outbreaks of rain in much of central and southern England this evening. A few heavier bursts of rain may develop, especially over southern facing hills, with the rain affecting southeast England for much of the night. Drier elsewhere with the cloud breaking, apart from an odd shower in western Scotland. Lows at 1 to 5C.
Good Friday A front across southeast England on Friday morning bringing a wet start to the day here. The rain should clear by midday. A weak ridge of high pressure builds across the rest of the UK. For most the day will be dry with sunny spells, the best of them away from western coasts and hills. Over western Ireland and western Scotland winds will be increasing with some patchy drizzle arriving here. Highs at 9 to 14C.
Saturday A breezy and dry start to Saturday. Cloud and rain across Ireland and western Scotland in the morning will be spreading eastwards to be through Wales and western England during the late morning and into the afternoon. Staying dry with some sunny spells in more eastern parts of England, although rain arrives here in the evening. Highs at 9 to 15C.
